Perfect Chocolate Cake
2 c sugar
1-3/4 c all-purpose flour
3/4 c cocoa
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 c milk
1/2 vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla
1 c boiling water
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9" round baking pans.
Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl.
Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
Pour into prepared pans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans.
Cool completely and frost.
CHOCOLATE FROSTING:
1 stick butter
2/3 c cocoa
3 c powdered sugar
1/3 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
1 stick butter
1 pkg cream cheese
4 c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
