Sweet Potato Casserole (with nuts in topping, mmm)

5 medium yams or sweet potatoes
2 c sugar (I'd cut down on that if you use canned yams w/sugar)
1 tsp salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 stick butter, melted
1 c milk
1 tsp vanilla

Crunch topping:
2 c brown sugar
2/3 c flour
2 c pecans, chopped
2/3 c butter, melted

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cook potatoes, or use canned.
Beat all ingredients together and pour into greased baking dish.
Mix topping ingredients together and place on top of sweet potatoes.
Bake for 35 minutes.
