Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole (Beverly G.)
1 lb hamburger
28 oz spaghetti sauce
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 c sour cream
1/2 lb cottage cheese
stick of butter
1 lb pasta (elbow noodles or rotini)
1 bag shredded cheese
Optional: mushrooms, bell peppers, onions (sliced)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese. Set aside.
Brown hamburger meat (along with optional vegetables) and drain. Add spaghetti sauce and mix together.
Put a little butter in bottom of 9x13 casserole dish.
Layer half of noodles in bottom of dish.
Spread cream cheese mixture on top.
Add rest of noodles with a few pats of butter.
Pour red sauce and meat on top and spread.
Bake 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and spread cheese on top.
Bake 15 more minutes.
