Buttermilk Corn Bread

2 TBS bacon drippings
1 c self-rising cornmeal
1 egg
1 c buttermilk or sweet milk
Pinch of salt

Put bacon drippings in small cast iron skillet and put in oven as it preheats to 425 degrees.
Mix all other ingredients in bowl.
When oven is heated, pour everything into skillet.
Bake until brown (20 minutes?).
